Week 38 belly pic - it seems like my nose gets redder as the pregnancy progresses as well - didn't think that was possible! And a pic of the big daddy so he doesn't feel left out.

Uneventful Halloween for us - 3 trick or treaters - too bad Doug bought 8 bags of candy!!

Just watched Village of the Damned - probably not a good idea for someone who's about to pop. (It's about a town of women all getting impregnated by aliens). Oops ...

Definately starting to feel pregnant and uncomfortable - count down is on!

Still Here!

If there was any question as to whether or not I may have blogging skills, I think the answer is pretty clear. I am not a talented blogger. I do apologize to those who actually check in to see what new posts I may have added over the past few months, so not cool to keep you hanging. Now for the excuses - I have been very busy with work. Seriously - I passed out on the bed Friday night (mmm - more like early evening) with my Parenting magazine in hand. When Doug came in to tuck me in (what a guy) I began asking him for work related updates and when he tried to come in closer I swatted him away in disgust. Needless to say, I was in between my work dream and reality and thought the young guy I am training was swooping in for a kiss - hence the swatting. Doug thought it was hilarious and is still giving me a hard time - I, on the other hand, realized that I need to put work on the back burner and move baby up front. There is still so much prep I want to get done before we head into the hospital and time is not slowing down. My other excuse - I am just downright tired and after being on a computer all day at work the last thing I want to do when I get home is log on and update my blog. Sorry.

On to the important stuff - baby and myself are doing well. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, which will hopefully be as uneventful as all of the others. My official last day at work is Wednesday, November 4th. Looking forward to having some time off and getting our little nest ready. Posting some pics from the last baby shower - need to take an updated belly pic, it has definately grown in the past few weeks!

Baby Shower

My friends Amy, Emma and Nicole threw me a wonderful shower last weekend. Lots of yummy foods and great company! I'm gearing up for another shower tomorrow, and am looking forward to another day of good food and great gifts!

31 Weeks - Profile Shot

Here's the long awaited profile shot taken today at 31 weeks. :)

Doug has been talking to his sister and Kevin trying to get our computer fixed - looks like our hard drive is corrupted. I am keeping myself in the bum right now, because I have never backed up any of our files. I am hoping (praying) that there is a way to pull our pictures (from the past 5 years) off of the computer.

Until then ... I will be playing catch up with my photo taking. We have a baby shower this weekend so stay tuned for some pics from that (which I will be backing up --- once I figure out how to do that).

You would think I would know this, living in Seattle and all (dad, that's for you), but all of the techie peeps at work always cover that stuff for me and I've never had to learn ...

30 Weeks!?

Where has the time gone? The past 10 weeks have flown by and I can't imagine the next ten are going to come any slower. We have baby showers coming up the next couple of weekends and birthing classes to follow those.

We have decided on a name for the little man - Bennett - although he already has a few nicknames ... :)

We've had some computer issues which is why I have been SO horrible at postings. I know there is no excuse, but here are some nursery pictures that were taken just a couple of days ago. We still have a lot left to do and not a whole lot of time to do it in!

21 Weeks!


We've been busy this month prepping the nursery for furniture and no too far off - a baby! The weather has been gorgeous this summer and we've enjoyed every minute of it. My little baby bump is finally starting to show more and I've had to switch over to maternity pants - which I love! I can't remember the last time I was forced to wear elastic waist pants. Doug has been busy at work and in his free time has been meticulously painting the baby's room. Hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to post again soon :)

It's a Boy!

We found out at our last doctor's visit that we are having a little baby boy! Doug was so excited he could not contain himself and began jumping up and down as soon as the ultrasound technician left the room. The ultrasound was an hour long as they measured and checked every possible body part and organ they could. From what they can see the baby is healthy and growing at the rate it should so we are happy that everything is moving along so well.

We spent time last weekend at Baby's R Us deciding on what colors we would use in the nursery. Luckily, we agreed on a color palette and will begin painting the nursery next weekend. We have started receiving baby clothes from friends and the planning of showers are underway, so the fact that we will have a little man joining our family is becoming more of a reality.

Another reminder that we are expecting is my every growing tummy! It has really started to grow just in the last couple of weeks and sometimes I think it's bigger in the morning then when I go to bed at night! Our little guy has also been very active the last couple of weeks. He is still too small for Doug to feel his movements, but I've been getting a kick (pun intended) out of his aerobics.

Welcome!

Hi All - Welcome to our blog! I never thought I would be a blogger, but with the new addition to our family I thought it would be a good way to keep everyone updated. We had our first doctor's appointment yesterday. It's hard to believe there is a tiny life growing inside of you until you see it for yourself. The little one is already very active and was seen punching his/her little fists during the ultrasound. I am hoping the karate moves subside as time goes on. Not a big fan of seeing feet or fists kicking thru my belly! The appointment went well and we have another scheduled in mid May. We are looking at a due date of November 10, 2009 and are looking forward to finding out the sex so we can start decorating and shopping! Hope all is well and Spring has finally arrived for everyone!
